Making purchases online requires trust, and we at Steel Mill Media understand that users might be apprehensive about giving such trust lightly. In that light, we pledge to you that we make every effort to protect your privacy and security of the information that you provide in an order to purchase one of our products, to contests that you enter, to newsletters that you would subscribe, and to any other correspondence with Steel Mill Media. We believe that you should know when and how your information is being used by Steel Mill Media in our efforts to provide you with the best service and support.

What information do we collect?

When you place an order with Steel Mill Media, we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, credit card number, expiration date and identification code if applicable. This information is important in processing your order and verifying your billing address. It also allows us to ship your order and keep you informed regarding the status of your order.

While we feature automatic email notification regarding the status of the order, you may opt-out of these notifications by selecting the appropriate checkbox during the ordering process.

In order to provide you with a website that meets or exceeds the industry standards in reliability, usability, and security, we store a "cookie" on your system. A cookie is a small file that your browser knows that should be used for our site. This file is used to store a unique identifier (a very large random number) that is used to identify your browsing experience on our website. No other information is stored in the cookie, and it expires after leaving our website. In order to use the full functionality of the site, cookies must be enabled on your browser. With that said, the cookie that we require is not used to store any personal information, and poses no risk to your computer's health.

In addition to the information that is required to complete an order, additional information may be volunteered from time to time. Any correspondence that you send to us with a given email address will be responded to in a timely manner back to that same address. We may use your statistically aggregated data from a survey that you contributed to. Many contests and giveaways may have additional information that is needed to compete or to receive a prize. How we use your information will be clearly outlined in the rules of the respective contest or giveaway.

What do we do with your information once we have it?

We do not store your information unless it is warranted, and it is never stored for the purpose of reselling to third-parties.

When you make a purchase online via our web site, your credit card information is sent to our transaction processor in a very secure format. We do not store your credit card number in any format in our system. After you make a purchase, we will use your email address to send order statuses (unless you opted out of this feature by checking the respective box on the checkout page).

If you sign up for our newsletter, we will use your email address to send you the newletter. This newsletter will be sent not more frequently than once a month. This newsletter can be opted out of by following the instructions at the bottom of the newsletter when you receive it.

We may also use your personal information to respond to your requests, all with the sole motive of providing you with the best customer service and web browsing experience.

When and with whom do we share your personal information?

We will not sell your personal information to any third party for any reason (except one, see Chargebacks below). We will share personal customer information only with our agents, representatives and trusted service providers and contractors for the limited purposes of fulfilling customer orders; offering certain products and services in connection with our Websites; communicating to customers; providing customer service; enhancing and improving the customer shopping experience; providing a personalized shopping experience and completing credit card transactions.

Aside from the purposes described above, we will never share your personal information with any other third parties unless we have your express permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe in good faith that the disclosure is required by law. We may share aggregated demographic and statistical information with our partners. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

How do we protect the security of your personal information?

The security of your personal information is very important to us. In our efforts to protect your online transactions, we use a technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). If your browser is capable of SSL (and most are), your personal information will be automatically encrypted, or encoded, before it is sent over the Internet.

Steel Mill Media has also obtained a digital certificate from Go Daddy, Inc., a leading provider of Internet trust services. When you enter a secure portion of our site (which is any page containing any of your personal information), an image of a closed lock or a solid key should appear in the bottom bar of your browser window. If you click on this image, a small pop-up window displaying site-security information will appear. This certificate guarantees that your personal information is being transmitted in secure (encrypted) form to a steelmillmedia.com Web server, not to some unknown or unauthorized server.

What happens if you issue a chargeback on your account?

While you are fully within your rights as a cardholder to chargeback the amount shown, note that this substantially reduces your privacy rights on the Websites. Once a chargeback is received at at our offices, your account/membership is permanently and irrevokably banned. Also, your privacy protection changes in the following ways: you agree to let us sell your information to a third party, you agree to let us post your information in a public forum--such as on one of our webpages (to the extent that the law allows), you agree to let us creatively use your information for humor or satire. These rights are changed no matter what reason was given for chargeback, and they cannot be reinstated to their original form regardless of the outcome of the chargeback. PLEASE DO NOT CHARGEBACK!
